The scope of delivery and services of Gantner Instruments includes data acquisition and power plant controller, network technology and weather stations, which are manufactured and installed in accordance with the IEC 61724-1 standard.
The monitoring and park control system, which is already globally used in numerous major utility-scale projects is applied to monitor all data from PV strings, inverters, transformers and weather sensors. The complete collected information is made available to the EnBW PV control room via Modbus TCP.
The “Q.reader central” developed for multi-megawatt solar projects is the core of the system in its function as Power Plant Controller (PPC). It ensures that the generating plant with its three network connection points (GCPs) is fed into the high-voltage network of the network operator E.DIS in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4120. All signals and messages required for park control are reliably exchanged with E.DIS via an IEC 60870-5-101 telecontrol interface.
The standardized IEC 80670-5-104 protocol is used for communication between the power offtaker and the photovoltaic system.
Gantner Instruments is proud to be a part of the rapid and forward-looking development in Renewables and is underlining its market leadership for monitoring and control for utility-scale solar systems.
