(PresseBox) (Ingelfingen-Criesbach, )
Ingelfingen-based valve specialist GEMÜ offers its customers in the solar energy and semiconductor industry a perfectly coordinated product range. The individual valve solutions are perfectly aligned with the needs of these industrial sectors and are further developed on an application-specific basis in close collaboration with leading manufacturers, designers and plant engineers.

All signs are pointing towards growth in the solar energy sector. The world market for the operation

and servicing of photovoltaic power stations will see significant growth in the coming years. According to various studies, the installed capacity is set to triple worldwide by 2020.

Valve solutions for the solar energy industry

GEMÜ iComLine

On account of the variety of processes, process media and the associated supply and disposal systems, a wide range of different solutions are required for the individual production steps in the area of valves, measurement and control systems. This is primarily due to the different quality and purity requirements as well as the flow rates required. The materials range from polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) to ultra pure and resistant perfluoroalkoxy (PFA). As well as various plastics, components made of stainless steel are also used depending on the process step.

GEMÜ is able to cover this broad range of requirements comfortably with its extensive product range. In addition to standard solutions, customers can also be provided with individual, customized solutions thanks to the perfectly coordinated modular system. Depending on the valve required, GEMÜ offers various function and actuation types. Completely metal-free equipment and valves that are manufactured in the in-house cleanroom plant in Switzerland are also available.

Innovative valves for a variety of applications

The GEMÜ iComLine series is based on the globe valve design, has a cavity-filled design and boasts a long service life. The main advantage is the compact design and the resulting low space requirement. This can be further optimized by using what are referred to as block solutions. In this case, the iComLine valves are combined to form multi-functional valve blocks. In addition to the individual valves, further components such as sensors, check valves or electrical position indicators can also be integrated into these application-specific units.

Another innovative product is the GEMÜ CleanStar "solar valve". This diaphragm valve, which also features the tried and tested GEMÜ seal system, impresses with its high quality and performance capability. Thanks to its cavity-filled design and the various types of design, it is suitable for a variety of processes in the solar energy industry. The SmartLine products in this valve range in particular combine excellent performance with the corresponding cost-efficiency. They are therefore preferably used in chemical supply systems as well as wet process equipment.

The aforementioned range is rounded off by sensor solutions for flow and pressure measurement, accessories such as tubes and fittings, electrical position indicators and controllers as well as stainless steel valves and further metal valves with plastic linings. GEMÜ therefore supplies a versatile, coordinated product range of valves, measurement and control systems for plants in water treatment and chemical supply, for applications in wet process equipment and for further process steps in solar cell production.
