Der KH 120 ist als Nahfeldmonitor oder Rear-Lautsprecher in größeren Mehrkanalsystemen konzipiert. Er zeichnet sich aus durch ein MMD(TM) Waveguide (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion(TM) ), flexible Akustikregler, analoge Class-AB Verstärker, mehrere Eingangsoptionen und eine umfassende Palette an Montage-Hardware. Dadurch ist der Lautsprecher unter den verschiedensten akustischen Bedingungen, mit beliebigen Signalquellen und an nahezu allen Orten einsetzbar. Der KH 120 wurde mit Hilfe modernster Simulations- und Messtechnik entwickelt und überzeugt durch seine akustische Authentizität.
Durch Hinzufügen eines Subwoofers, wie dem Neumann KH 810 mit 7.1 High Definition Bass Manager(TM) , lässt sich der Bassfrequenzgang bis 18 Hz hinab erweitern und der Gesamtpegel des Systems erhöhen. Der KH 120 ist in Projekt-, Musik-, Rundfunk- und Postproductionstudios für Aufnahmen, Mischungen und Mastering einsetzbar.
