Jean-Paul Adans, EVP at Getronics says: "Getronics is focusing on delivering managed services consistently across the globe. We see an increasing demand from our international and national clients, for utility-based ICT platforms that effectively support the productivity requirements of end-users. Cisco´s Managed Services Channel Program allows Getronics to accelerate and strengthen our delivery capabilities. It also means recognition of our leadership position in remote infrastructure management."
"The market is moving towards the broad adoption of managed services; companies are shifting from managing their own IT infrastructure to buying technology as a service," said Edison Peres, vice president of Worldwide Channels at Cisco. "Based on a consistent, global framework, the Cisco Managed Services Channel Program will allow Getronics to more easily meet customers´ growing demand for managed services in established and emerging markets."
Managed Unified Communications includes unified messaging, instant messaging, corporate voice and conference services. Managed Security includes firewall, intrusion detection and intrusion prevention services. Both Managed Services are integrated into Getronics´ Global Services Delivery Model.
All these services are immediately available either stand-alone, or as options in Getronics´ comprehensive Future-Ready Workspace. In the latter case, services become selectable on a user-role basis.
By achieving the Cisco Powered Managed Services level, Getronics demonstrated the required resources, systems, and procedures to deploy, manage, and support managed network and IT solutions in all locations for which the services are available. The program´s entry criterion is based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) framework of best practices. Getronics also passed a rigorous assessment of their Network & Security Operation Centers (NSOCs).
