Auf Xetra wurden im Oktober 16 Millionen Transaktionen getätigt, ein Anstieg von 74 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat (Oktober 2006: 9,2 Millionen).
Die Aktie der Allianz SE war im Oktober auf Basis des Xetra-Liquiditätsmaßes (XLM) die liquideste Aktie im Index DAX® mit 4 bp für eine Auftragsgröße von 100.000 Euro. Im MDAX® führte EADS N.V. mit 20 bp. Liquidester Exchange Traded Fund war der db-x-trackers II iBOXX Sovereigns Eurozone 1-3 TR mit 2 bp. Der liquideste ausländische Wert war ABN Amro mit 7 bp. XLM misst die Liquidität im elektronischen Wertpapierhandel auf Grundlage der impliziten Transaktionskosten. Es wird in Basispunkten (1 bp = 0,01 Prozent) ausgedrückt; ein niedriges XLM steht für hohe Liquidität eines Wertpapiers.
Umsatzstärkster DAX®-Titel auf Xetra im Oktober war Daimler AG mit 14 Mrd. Euro. Bei den MDAX®-Werten lag Klöckner & Co. AG mit 1,1 Mrd. Euro vorn, im Aktienindex SDAX® führte Air Berlin AG mit 220,8 Mio. Euro und bei den TecDAX®-Werten Conergy AG mit 1,3 Mrd. Euro. Umsatzstärkster Exchange Traded Fund war iShares DAX EX mit 2,9 Mrd. Euro.
An allen Wertpapierbörsen in Deutschland wurden im Oktober laut Orderbuchstatistik insgesamt 239,1 Mrd. Euro umgesetzt – ein Plus von 51 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat (Oktober 2006: 157,7 Mrd. Euro). Davon entfielen 229,5 Mrd. Euro auf Aktien, Optionsscheine, Zertifikate und Exchange Traded Funds sowie 9,6 Mrd. Euro auf Renten.
