Frankfurt Stock Exchange starts new stock exchange game

Save, speculate, invest in a playful manner / Virtually trade all listed securities at real-time prices

(PresseBox) (Frankfurt am Main, )
Frankfurt Stock Exchange is running a new stock exchange game from 1 October to 31 December. In this year's version, participants can trade all of the approximately 400,000 securities listed in Frankfurt and on the pan-European trading platform Xetra on a virtual basis.

Seed money of €50,000 is deposited in a fictitious securities account for speculating and investing. The object of the game is to earn the highest return by the end of the year. While the game is running, the securities account with the best weekly performance will be determined every Thursday. Two types of securities accounts are available; they will be valuated separately but can also both be held at the same time: There is a speculative one, which can contain up to 20 percent in warrants and leverage certificates, and a conservative securities account without leveraged securities.

The Frankfurt stock exchange game will run online at boerse-frankfurt.com/boersenspiel. The Deutsche Börse investor website boerse-frankfurt.com provides all the necessary information on tradable securities. Securities account performance can actually be managed via individual order addenda such as best, stop loss and limit. To make participation in the stock market trading game seem genuine, it makes real-time prices available for all securities.

As educational components, this year's Frankfurt stock exchange game includes supporting background articles that are sent to participants on a weekly basis to introduce newcomers to exchange trading as well as a moderated Internet forum for posting current questions and feedback on the game. All participants also receive an introductory package that includes a stock market dictionary and a fund and ETF manual. At the end of the game, there is a quiz that gives all participants the chance to demonstrate the stock market know-how they have acquired.

There are a total of 100 prizes to be won. ICF Kursmakler AG is offering a trading internship on the Frankfurt floor as a special prize to students.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange partners hr-Info, Frankfurter Rundschau and €uro am Sonntag are covering this year's Frankfurt stock exchange game.
