Reducing carbon dioxide emissions, saving resources and increasing profitability – these are some of the many reasons which make lightweight construction a key factor for ensuring future performance and competitiveness across all industries and technologies. So the concept of a specialist trade fair which covers the entire scope of lightweight design, from initial ideas right up to series production, is arousing great interest among suppliers and users. "As manufacturers of laser units for processing plastics such as CRP and GRP, we see euroLITE as a good platform to present our product range to a target audience, to highlight the opportunities of laser processing and to establish contacts with users", explains Norbert Preuß, Head of Marketing at Jenoptik Automatisierungstechnik GmbH, on the reasons for taking part in euroLITE from 26 to 28 June at the Salzburg Exhibition Centre. Alongside this company from Jena, you can find names such as Alcan Singen, AFC Alu & Future Components, Alutec-Belte AG, ARC Leichtmetallkompetenzzentrum, Abaqus, Hydro Aluminium, Lightweight Structures, Straintec, Voest Alpine and Kunststoffverarbeitung Wimmer in the list of exhibitors at Europe's only dedicated lightweight construction trade fair. Leichtbau-Cluster Landshut will also be present with member companies on a shared stand in Mozart's home town.
Get an idea of the entire design process
The terminology of Europe's only lightweight construction trade fair is geared towards designer specifications - from the tools used in development, such as software for calculation, simulation and lightweight design, through materials such as metals, plastics, composites, cellular/compound materials and nano materials, prototype and model construction, right up to production technologies, connection/bonding technology and surface technology. The exhibition portfolio also includes component tests as well as lightweight components and semifinished products. Services, research and science then round off the package. euroLITE therefore offers providers along the entire lightweight design process chain a way to effectively present their products and services and also make contacts in relevant target groups under one roof. It also offers designers, development engineers, purchasers, decision makers and managers from the automotive (road and rail) and aerospace industries as well as the ship-building and machine construction sectors an effective information exchange and procurement platform.
In addition to exhibitor information, the organisers H & K Messe GmbH & Co. KG and MesseZentrum Salzburg GmbH have arranged an attractive and informative supporting program. Alongside a specialist lightweight construction forum with practical lectures, this also includes an R&D area with the involvement of the Vienna University of Technology and Leichtbau-Cluster Landshut.
