Three-in-one: Sweeping, wet cleaning, winter service
Equipped with a two- or three-broom system – providing a working width of up to 2.6 m – and the largest dirt hopper capacity in its class – an impressive volume of 2 cubic metres - the Citymaster enables particularly time-efficient sweeping of both small and large areas. The sweeping brooms can easily reach even difficult-to-access areas, so that no manual reworking is required. Moreover, the broom’s height offset of up to 250 mm enables easy cleaning of traffic islands. The suction nozzle sucks debris directly into the large dirt hopper while the circulating water system provides direct and efficient dust control. The dirt hopper is made of stainless steel with smooth inner surfaces, which makes both emptying and cleaning the hopper very easy.
The Citymaster 2200, however, scores not only as a professional sweeper but also when it comes to performing wet-cleaning tasks on large smoothly paved areas or natural stone surfaces. The quick-change system enables fast and easy demounting of the sweeping technology to be replaced by a scrub deck, which can remove even the most stubborn dirt from the smooth surfaces. A special suction nozzle provides direct intake of the waste water into the stainless steel dirt hopper. A sluicing system can be attached to perform extensive road-cleaning tasks, combined with a large water tank superstructure instead of the dirt hopper.
Thanks to the ABS and an optional differential lock, the Citymaster 2200 is already well equipped for winter service tasks. The quick-change system allows docking of different kinds of snowploughs or a front snow sweeper as well as coupling professional silo gritters or a brine-spraying system to fight ice and snow efficiently. Short re-tooling and set-up times ensure that an unexpected onset of winter can be handled just as easily as a long-planned change of equipment.
Optimal working conditions for the driver
Another important aspect for ensuring economically efficient operation - in addition to the flexibility and efficiency provided by the vehicle – are working conditions that both enhance and maintain the performance of the driver. Therefore, when developing the Citymaster 2200, Hako’s engineers followed the same high standards that apply in the truck construction industry, which includes a sophisticated safety concept for the driver’s cabin, disc brakes, a hydraulic drive and an integrated ABS. Heavy-duty axles ‘made in Germany’ provide the high payload of the Citymaster 2200 and ensure safe driving and optimal road-holding characteristics in all operating situations. Safety tests to the highest standard ensure maximum safety for both the driver and the passenger.
Moreover, the vehicle offers a number of ergonomic benefits. From easy entering and exiting of the vehicle to back-friendly, individually adjustable seats and an adjustable steering wheel as well as a comfortable chassis that absorbs jolts and vibrations to protect the driver’s back.
Large windows provide an optimal view. The optional camera systems allow the driver a 270° angle of vision, so that he can keep an eye on his surroundings without turning his head. This safety-plus can also help to avoid annoying collision damage. In addition, both the heated windscreen and heated wing mirrors (option) provide a clear view in the winter.
All functions are comfortably controlled via a joystick and a multifunctional switch. The sweeper, for example, is put into operation automatically at the push of a button. Moreover, the Citymaster 2200 is equipped with a heating system and air conditioning to provide ideal temperatures and pleasant working conditions in all seasons - for a relaxing start to a day’s work and a cheerful driver who excels in getting the job at hand done.
