Vom 9. August 2010 bis 28. August 2010 werden viele Handwerksbetriebe im Stadtkreis Stuttgart und in den Landkreisen Böblingen, Esslingen, Göppingen und Rems-Murr Betriebsurlaub machen. Die Handwerker im Landkreis Ludwigsburg haben die Wochen vom 2. August 2010 bis 21. August 2010 abgesprochen. Mit einem eingeschränkten Dienstleistungsangebot ist deshalb zu rechnen. In bewährter Weise werden Notdienste eingerichtet, sie können über die Kreishandwerkerschaften erfragt werden. Auftraggeber sollten beachten, dass die Resonanz auf Ausschreibungen und Auftragsvergaben während der Handwerkerferien wie auch kurz vor und nach dieser Zeit eingeschränkt sein kann.
