Der einst schlafende Riese China ist längst erwacht und so ausgeschlafen, dass die restliche Welt kaum hinterher kommt. Sind asiatische Märkte und Geschäftspartner fürs Handwerk ein Abenteuer mit positivem Ausgang, ein Glücksspiel oder sogar eine echte Gefahr? Diese Frage wollen drei Experten am 12. November 2010 ab 19.00 Uhr beim Zukunftsforum der Handwerkskammer Region Stuttgart beantworten. Moderiert wird die Veranstaltungsreihe mit der Überschrift "Wissen - Weitsicht - Wandel" von Dr. Marlis Prinzing.

Skeptisch gegenüber Asien ist Jungdesignerin Nadine Psotta aus Stuttgart. Als sie mit ihrem Label "Schwabenkind" startete, ließ sie in Asien produzieren und ließ das schnell wieder sein. Jetzt fertigt sie aus Überzeugung wieder im Ländle. Schreinermeister Robert Buhmann aus Wangen im Allgäu beliefert mit seiner Firma GETA dagegen weltweit Kunden - unter anderem mit Einrichtungen für Zugwaggons und Schiffe. Er ist überzeugt: "Mit Asien geht's gemeinsam nach vorne." Jürgen Schäfer, Geschäftsführer von Handwerk International, begleitet und berät Unternehmen, die den Schritt in ausländische Märkte wagen. Dass das Handwerk selbst in Shanghai erfolgreich dabei sein kann, weiß er aus Erfahrung.

Die Veranstaltung findet im Forum der Handwerkskammer, Heilbronner Straße 43 in 70191 Stuttgart, statt. Der Eintritt ist frei.
