MICA will be given a special focus at SPS. HARTING will be offering HARTING IIC MICA (Integrated Industry Computer Modular Industry Computing Architecture), a modular platform comprising open hardware and software that can be quickly and economically adapted to many industrial application areas. This saves the customer time and money.
The Technology Group will also be presenting its Infrastructure Box, which shows the development from a switch cabinet configuration with top-hat-rail-based devices to a highly integrated device design. Customers will consequently be capable of flexible networking for machines and systems in line with the Industry 4.0 concept in the future.
HARTING will additionally be presenting the Embedded Transponder Base (ETB) at the SPS. In the Industry 4.0 environment, this is the interface to things that do not have their own IP address. This will consequently also allow goods and containers as well as tools or other carriers to be seen, recognised and controlled directly by higher level processes. Going beyond this identity, the ETB is able to run diverse binary sensors completely self-sufficiently and to convey their values through the wireless interface.
