HARTING has been a member of the nationwide pioneering initiative of Climate Protection Companies for a total of ten years. Now, the technology group has been honoured for its commitment by the Federal Environment Ministry (BMU), the Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).

The technology group is operating four combined heat and power plants harnessing biomethane, of which three have been upgraded to combined heat, power and cooling (CHCP) plants. The worldwide photovoltaic capacity worldwide stands at around 1.89 MWpeak. Overall, HARTING has saved an average of around 18,500 tons of CO2eq annually since the 2011/12 financial year.
