Im Leben des heutigen Menschen spielt die Akustik eine wachsende Rolle. Fragen der Geräuschbelastung, der Wohlklang in Räumen oder die Entwicklung Lärmreduzierter technischer Quellen (Fahrzeuge, Motoren, Lüfter ...), das sind nur Beispiele für die wachsende Motivation zur Beschäftigung mit Schall.

Das Seminar " Einführung in die Akustik" am 22.-23. September 2011 an der TU Berlin beinhaltet eine Einführung in die Begriffswelt der Akustik und der grundlegendsten Sachverhalte. Besonderes Gewicht wir dabei auf die Grundtatsachen der Wahrnehmung von Schall und der quantifizierenden Beschreibung durch Schallpegel, auf die Betrachtung der physikalischen Größen der Schallfelder, ihrer Zusammenhänge und den wichtigsten Begriffe (z.B. Wellenlänge, Schallschnelle, Schallleistung, ...) und auf die Schilderung der beiden praktisch interessierenden Umgebungen der Ausbreitung im Freien und in Innenräumen gelegt.
