Moderne LEDs haben längst ihr langjähriges Einsatzgebiet als anzeigendes Bauteil verlassen und drängen infolge heute möglicher Lichtausbeuten von mehr als 70 Im/W massiv in bis dahin anderen Lichtquellen vorbehaltenen Anwendungen vor. Ihr Einsatz erfordert jedoch die präzise Kenntnis ihrer charakterisierenden Größen und Kennzahlen sowie auch das messtechnische Wissen diese zu bestimmen. Hinzu kommen Abschätzungen der Messunsicherheit unter Berücksichtigung des jeweils verwendeten Messsystems.

Das Seminar " LED-Messtechnik " am 11. März 2009 im Haus der Technik vermittelt Grundlagen und Definitionen über die lichttechnischen, teils auch radiometrischen, farbmetrischen und spektralen Kenngrößen sowie deren Abhängigkeit von der Temperatur und LED-Strom. Die Schwerpunkte bilden Inhalte über Messmethoden mit zugehörigen Korrekturen, Messanordnungen und praktische Messungen, wobei auch das Thema der Messunsicherheit gestreift wird. Messtechnische Praktika an ausgewählten Messsystemen vertiefen die vorausgegangene Theorie.

Unter der Leitung von Matthias Lindemann, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, Braunschweig gewinnen die Teilnehmer in komprimierter Form aktuellstes Know-how und zahlreiche Einblicke in die Trends und Entwicklungen bei der LED Messtechnik.
