Abgase fallen in vielen verfahrenstechnischen Prozessen an. Sie enthalten unerwünschte feste, flüssige oder gasförmige Bestandteile. Aus Gründen des Immissionsschutzes und der Prozessführung ist ein Entfernen dieser Bestandteile aus dem Abgas erforderlich. Für diese Aufgabenstellung steht eine Reihe von Verfahren zur Verfügung. In der Veranstaltung "Abgasreinigungsverfahren" wird über die wichtigsten Emissionsminderungs-Verfahren, wie Entstaubungs-Verfahren, absorptive und adsorptive Verfahren, katalytische und nicht katalytische Verfahren, thermische und biologische Verfahren und Verfahrenskombinationen vorgetragen. Die Tagung wird vom Haus der Technik in Essen am 07.-08. Mai 2009 angeboten und hat einen weiteren Schwerpunkt in der Abscheidung explosibler Stäube bei den Entstaubungs-Verfahren. Die trockenen und nassen Verfahren zum Abscheiden von Schwefeldioxid und Chlorwasserstoff werden gegenübergestellt. Die Unterschiede zwischen katalytischer und nichtkatalytischer Entstickung werden ebenso erläutert wie die Eignung der Emissionsminderungs-Verfahren für die Entfernung organischer Abgas-Bestandteile. Jedes Kapitel behandelt in einem ausgewogenen Verhältnis Theorie, Bauformen und Praxis-Beispiele. Über die rechtlichen Auflagen, die in Form von Grenzwerten vorliegen, wird referiert. Ausreichende Zeit für Diskussionen und Fragen ist vorgesehen.
