Reinhold Festge wurde am 10. November 1945 in Oelde geboren. Nach Abschluss seines Medizinstudiums studierte er Betriebswirtschaft und arbeitete anschließend als Geschäftsführer für Haver + Beumer Latinoamericana in Brasilien. Von 1985 bis 1987 war er Geschäftsführer von HAVER FILLING SYSTEMS in den USA. Seit 1987 ist er persönlich haftender Geschäftsführender Gesellschafter von HAVER & BOECKER in Oelde. Das Unternehmen HAVER & BOECKER wurde 1887 gegründet und hat aktuell weltweit über 2700 Mitarbeiter. Der Umsatz der Gruppe lag 2012 bei 402 Millionen Euro. Die Produktpalette des Unternehmens reicht von Produkten der Verpackungs- und Aufbereitungstechnik bis zu Drahtgewebe und Drahtgewebeprodukten für die industrielle und architektonische Anwendung.
Festge ist Mitglied im Engeren Vorstand und im Hauptvorstand des VDMA. Von 1998 bis 2004 war er Vorsitzender des VDMA-Fach-Verbandes Bau- und Baustoffmaschinen und von 2005 bis 2011 Vorsitzender des VDMA-Landesverbandes Nordrhein-Westfalen.
