EVO9: the future of the manual cable tie tool has arrived

(PresseBox) (Tornesch, )
Engineers from HellermannTyton have produced a manual tool for tying and cutting wide strap cable ties that offers greater performance and reliability than other manual tensioning tools.

At the heart of the EVO9 is innovative, patent-pending Tension-Lock-Cut (TLC) technology, which enables maximum precision when tensioning cable ties and minimum recoil when the excess band is cut off.

The EVO9 takes the strain out of repetitive manual cable tying operations by being lighter, safer and more precise than ever before.

Thanks to the unique TLC technology, the EVO9 reduces the manual force required to tension cable ties and generates significantly less recoil, or “kickback“ when they are cut. Operators can fasten countless numbers of cable ties more comfortably and with a significantly reduced risk of repetitive strain injury.

From the extremely hard-wearing stainless steel blade to the lightweight, but tough fibreglass-reinforced housing and anti-slip grip, the EVO9 is built for durability and precision. Improved ergonomics and high impact resistance make cable tie application easier.
The EVO9 delivers precise cable tie tensioning between 53 N and 307 N. Besides the standard EV09, two further versions are available to order: the EVO9SP for smaller hand spans (80 mm versus 90 mm) and the EVO9HT for particularly high tensioning (up to 516 N).

The EVO9 provides 33 different tension settings for manual calibration to individual user specifications. It also includes a quick adjustment feature that allows the installer to easily jump between higher or lower tension ranges on jobs that require a variety of different cable tie tensions.

Each EVO cable tie tensioning tool is individually calibrated at our factory, ensuring consistently accurate performance from each and every tool.

Visitors to the HellermannTyton booth (6C90-8.3/C) AIX 2017 from 4-6 April can experience the EVO9 in action, where it will be performing a continual use endurance test.
