On the last Hannover Messe Industrie Sonderhoff Engineering presented two novelties: The compact dispensing cell SMART - DM 402 with optical part and automatic dispensing contour recognition and the dosing and mixing system DM 403 with the new Siemens motion control technology D 445.
The intelligent optic system for automatic part recognition enables chaotic positioning of parts of the most diverse shapes and sizes on the conveyor belt which is transferred to the mixing head of the dispensing cell for gasket or potting application. It saves investment cost of tray systems with part fixtures and avoids long set-up times for the customer.
Among other control features for keeping a constant quality of foam sealings the new laser measurement serves for additional and better control of the height of the foam sealant body. A steady sealing height is an important parameter for a compressed foam gasket to achieve an optimal sealing effect.
With the new Siemens motion control technology D 445 it is possible to synchronously operate the axes and the peripheral equipment of the mixing and dosing machine at a cycle time of 2 msec. The repeat accuracy of the axis motions is thereby enhanced – an essential contribution to the reproducibility of the sealing application. The new motion control technology features a clear visualization and easy machine operation.
