Heilige Nägel, explosive Nagelbomben, alltägliche Baunägel ̶ Nägel gibt es in allen Formen und Größen. Die Ausstellung „NAILED IT !“, organisiert von fünf Studentinnen der School of Architecture, zielt darauf ab, den Horizont der Menschen über einen so unscheinbaren Gegenstand wie den Nagel zu erweitern. Die Ausstellung in der AB-Galerie der Hochschule Bremen zieht bis zum 20. Oktober in den sechs Stationen „Geschichte“, „Architektur“, „Währung“, „Sprache“, „Religion“ und „Waffen“ überraschende Verbindungen zu verschiedenen Themen, die Menschen normalerweise nicht in den Sinn kommen, wenn sie an Nägel denken. Comics, Installationen und Zeichnungen erörtern das kulturell gesellschaftliche Potential von Nägeln. „Auf den ersten Blick sind Nägel eher unscheinbar; wir aber wollen zeigen was noch so alles in Nägeln steckt und wieso uns dieses Thema so fasziniert. Wenn wir Zeichen anders verwenden, ihre Bedeutungen aufbrechen, verändern wir die Wirklichkeit: Genau dies ist das Versprechen der Dekonstruktion, mithilfe derer wir das Thema „Nägel“ inhaltlich erschlossen haben,“ erläutern die Kuratorinnen das Ausstellungkonzept.
Im Zuge des Wahlmoduls „Sense of Exhibition“ im Wintersemester 2020/2021 haben fünf Studentinnen der School of Architecture Bremen sich vertieft mit thematischen Ausstellungen auseinandergesetzt und darin ein inhaltlich spannendes Medium für einen interaktiven Diskurs erkannt. Im Laufe des Sommersemesters 21 haben die fünf Studentinnen sodann zu einem selbst gewählten Thema eine Ausstellung erarbeitet und für die Räumlichkeiten der AB-Galerie in der Hochschule Bremen umgesetzt. Zum Besuch der Ausstellung „Nailed it!“ und zur Finissage laden sie herzlich ein.
