Überdurchschnittlich hoch ist die Zahl der zugelassenen Studentinnen auch im Bachelor Medien- und Kommunikationsinformatik. Hier sind im neuen Semester 37 Prozent weiblich. Die insgesamt meisten Frauen verzeichnet übrigens der Bachelor Medizinisch-Technische Informatik. Hier sind über alle Semester gerechnet 39 Prozent weiblich. Neue Erstsemesterzahlen liegen für diesen Studiengang aber nicht vor, da die Zulassung nur zum Wintersemester erfolgt.
Insgesamt konnten im jetzt startenden Sommersemester in den beiden Bachelor und drei Master Studiengängen 135 Studierende aus 10 Ländern zugelassen werden. Die meisten ausländischen Studierenden kommen dabei aus der Türkei, weitere Studierende kommen aus Polen, Dänemark, Griechenland, Kamerun, Italien, Indonesien, Marokko und Russland. Insgesamt verfügen 20 Prozent der Erstsemester über einen ausländischen Pass.
