Honda kündigt neue Motorengeneration an

Auf der Tokio Motor Show hat Takanobu Ito, Präsident und CEO der Honda Motor Company, heute eine neue Motorengeneration angekündigt. Die Aggregate der "Earth Dreams Technology"-Serie werden stufenweise in die Honda- Modellpalette Einzug halten und sollen sich vor allem durch herausragende Leistung und Effizienz auszeichnen. Den Auftakt macht in Europa ein 1.6-Liter-Dieselmotor, mit dem ab Ende 2012 der neue Honda Civic bestückt wird. Er ist leichter als alle vergleichbaren Motoren und bietet mit CO2-Emissionen unter 100g/km sowie 120 PS (bei 4.000 U/min) und einem Drehmoment von 300 Nm bei 2.000 U/min ein einzigartiges Verhältnis von Wirtschaftlichkeit und Leistung.

Mit den herausragenden Umweltwerten der "Earth Dreams Technology"-Serie will Honda innerhalb von drei Jahren eine führende Rolle bei der Treibstoffeffizienz in allen Segmenten einnehmen.
