Honeywell (NYSE:HON) announced today a multi-year distribution agreement with Evangelos Rigas SA, who will distribute Honeywell's Burdick & Jackson® laboratory chemicals in Greece.
Burdick & Jackson® high purity solvents, salts, acids and bases are used extensively by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, analytical services laboratories and petrochemical companies in many applications such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography mass spectroscopy (LCMS).

"This agreement will strengthen our position as a leading company by providing a wide range of premium laboratory chemicals for demanding applications in Greece."
Rigas Group is a leader in Greece in the chemicals and polymers sectors and is a fast growing European commercial company. It controls 23 different companies operating in Greece and abroad with 145 thousand tones of chemicals and polymers distributed in 2009. Along with that. it has strong presence in engineering, food ingredients, logistics, consulting, development and navigation systems, as well as outsourcing of services, with a total turnover of € 235 million in 2009.
Together with Evangelos Rigas SA, Honeywell Burdick and Jackson expects to position its products on applications such as analytical instrumental analysis, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), as well as pilot and full scale production of pharmaceuticals. Honeywell manufactures its products for the Greek market at its production facility in Seelze, Germany.
