For 145 years now, the name Häring has represented quality, innovation, and tradition in the timber construction industry in Switzerland – the company’s very DNA is founded in wood! Which is why, at Häring, practical research and development are an ongoing commitment. In collaboration with institutions such as the ETH in Zurich (Federal Institute of Technology), the company is exploring the limits of applications. Häring has developed the two concepts ATTICO and VERTICA-L for customised redensification with timber construction systems. Here too, the guiding principle is: ecological construction techniques with a minimised wastage of land and logistically optimised building technology.
The Häring Group has been breaking new ground in the international arena for more than two decades now and has constructed some spectacular buildings: Swiss Timber Technology has finally found a firm footing in urban planning. Häring is currently collaborating as a partner with Dutch Royal BAM Group, on the construction of the headquarters in Amsterdam of the Nether-lands’ largest financial group, ABN AMRO – the extension and addition of storeys involves 30,000 square metres of timber construction, the equivalent of four football fields. Other projects the company has completed in Asia and the USA show that the pioneering work in strategic innovation that it has been expediting for decades, is now paying off.
The Häring Group’s 200 employees at the headquarters in Eiken, China, Singapore and the Roth Burgdorf production plant, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, are proud to be taking their commitment to wood as a building material, out into the world with expertise and dedication!
