Along with a brief presentation about the company, it was primarily the new developments in company data protection as well as the new DIN standard 66399, which addresses data media shredding, which formed the focus of the workshop. During the tour round the HSM showroom, the workshop participants were able to test the products live and be convinced by the Made in Germany HSM quality. In addition, a factory tour through the HSM plants in Salem and Frickingen was organised, which allowed the participants to gain insight into the operations and production processes at HSM. The event was rounded off with a varied evening programme in the scenic region around Lake Constance.
Beate Ernst, at Andres Büro- und Kopiersysteme from Bergheim-Niederaußem responsible for the marketing and customer support, summarised the event with the following: "The spirit of HSM was noticeably felt on the premises and sensed by all the staff throughout the seminars. The atmosphere was constructive and pleasant at all times."
The next data protection workshop is being held from 25 to 26 September, 2014. More information can be found at www.hsm.eu/akademie
