India will become STÜKEN’s fifth production site, following successful operations in Germany, the USA, the Czech Republic, and China. Having operated manufacturing facilities in Asia since 2006, the family-owned enterprise is poised to leverage the rapid growth in Southeast Asia’s mobility sector. With a strong market presence, STÜKEN supplies high-demand components for brakes, exhaust gas systems, and sensors – critical elements in vehicles for enhanced performance and compliance with emissions standards.
After comprehensive market analysis, India was chosen as the company’s second production hub in Asia, complementing an existing sales office established in 2013. "India holds immense potential," said Dr. Uwe Krismann, CEO of STÜKEN. "The growing focus on emissions standards has led to a sharp increase in demand for sensor components across the entire powertrain. This technology is vital not only for cars but also for the numerous two- and three-wheelers sold annually in India."
The facility will be constructed in the Pune region, recognized as a thriving center for the IT and automotive industries. “Pune offers an excellent supplier network and has developed into an international hub with a dynamic growth trajectory. Additionally, it provides an attractive environment for our employees, who will drive local operations," added Dr. Krismann. STÜKEN’s Pune plant is slated to begin production in 2026, further solidifying the company’s position as a global leader in precision manufacturing.
