Hybrid software is a specialist supplier of solutions that help graphic arts companies, particularly those in the packaging and labels market, to streamline their processes.
It is presenting PACKZ, a native PDF editor that makes high quality editing of packaging and labels accessible to small, medium and high production volume professionals. PACKZ, contains a complete set of prepress, editing and quality assurance functions, such as trapping, separation handling, barcode creation and recognition, dynamic creation of info panels and object based screening. Its 64-bit architecture, running under OS-X and Windows, enables multi-threading and ensures maximum performance and usability.
Also being showcased is Cloudflow that helps graphic arts companies streamline their processes. In addition to native PDF prepress automation, the compact, modern, and modular system for running automated graphics production workflows in a private computing cloud, offers a modern, easy-to-use communication platform. Interfaces are developed in HTML5, so workflows can be controlled from any web browser or tablet. At the heart of the Cloudflow system is the Cloudflow Workspace. It provides user security, file management, and total control over all workflows and production.
Optional modules are also available to provide additional functionality including DAM: Digital Asset Management, Proofscope: Softproofing & Collaboration, Printplanner: Powerful Step & Repeat and VDP, Prepress: Automated Trapping Prepress Functions and RIP: Fast, powerful embedded RIP. Cloudflow is also compatible with any RIP or output device.
These capabilities will be demonstrated by driving a ThermoFlexX 30 imager as well as the digital front-end of a Xeikon press.
"With the emphasis on greater workflow flexibility comes the need for robust prepress solutions that can effectively, reliability and efficiently handle a wide production mix," comments Jan Ruysschaert Hybrid Software's Managing Director: "To keep up with customer demands, many print service providers have multiple file servers or even multiple production locations, which can make it difficult to track digital assets and balance production workloads. This is where Cloudflow can play a pivotal role. It solves this problem by managing all assets and production within a private printing "cloud", where they can be accessed from any location through an intuitive browser interface. It is just one of the solutions we are keen to discuss further with visitors to Xeikon Café."
"The ways to streamline end-to-end operation has never been a hotter topic," comments Jeroen van Bauwel, Director Product Marketing at Xeikon, "and that is why we are excited to introduce our customers to the benefits smoother workflow can bring. Not only does job management become faster, easier and more flexible but the ability to free up flexibility capacity means companies can be even more productive."
