IBM erreicht laut IDC zweistelliges Umsatzwachstum bei Speichersoftware im 2. Quartal 2007

Neuer Quartalsbericht vermerkt, daß IBM im zehnten aufeinander folgenden Quartal bei Speichersoftware gleich oder schneller wie der Speichersoftwaremarkt insgesamt gewachsen ist

IBM (1) (NYSE: IBM) hat bekannt gegeben, daß das Unternehmen laut einem aktuellen IDC-Report (2) ein zweistelliges Umsatzwachstum im Jahresvergleich im Speichersoftwaremarkt für das zweite Quartal 2007 erreicht hat. Damit ist IBM unter den größten drei Anbietern am schnellsten gewachsen und hat den größten Umsatzanteil erringen können. Laut dem Q2 2007 IDC Storage Software Tracker ist IBM 19 Prozent im Jahresvergleich insgesamt gewachsen und hat 13 Prozent des gesamten Speichersoftwaremarkts nach Umsatz erreicht. Laut dem Report ist IBM damit auch spürbar schneller als der Speichersoftwaremarkt insgesamt gewachsen, der ein Wachstum von circa 10 Prozent im Jahresvergleich erreicht hat.

Im gleichen Report konnte IBM auch ein zweistelliges Umsatzwachstum in Schlüsselsegmenten des Markts wie Data Protection und Recovery (33 Prozent), Storage Replication-Software (19 Prozent), Storage Infrastruktur-Software (15 Prozent) und Storage Device Management-Software (18 Prozent) erreichen.
