IBM und der Cloud-Dienstleister Box kündigen eine globale Partnerschaft für regionale Cloud-Services an. Zukünftig können Unternehmen in Europa und Asien die Angebote von Box Zones und IBM Cloud kombinieren, um sie auf individuelle Cloud-Umgebungen anzupassen. Hierfür wird die IBM Cloud in das Angebot von Box Zones integriert. Dies ermöglicht es Unternehmen erstmals, Box einzuführen und Daten in ausgewählten Regionen und Ländern abzuspeichern. Zudem treibt IBM den Einsatz hybrider Cloud-Infrastrukturen auf Basis von Box Zones voran und bindet unterschiedliche Lösungen wie beispielsweise den IBM Content Navigator in das gemeinsame Angebot von Box und IBM ein.
