The market for energy efficient thermal solutions is a young growth market which is currently strongly fragmented and highly oil- and gas dependent (convective solutions). The demand for opportunities of the thermal treatment of lacquers (water-based, solvent-based, powder,…) is constantly growing. However the range of solutions is often reduced to one-product-suppliers.
Inspired by current market trends the developers of the company IBT are introducing their new product- and service portfolio to help the customers orientating in the jungle of IR-radiation sources: IBT Smart Solution – client adjusted infrared emitter, -heater, -devices and -equipment as well as controlled plants from one source!
Decisive in this customer orientated concept is the selection of the IR-radiation source, independent from a manufacturer, in different wavelength ranges. Considering the processing- and energy efficiency, we select infrared heaters from the short wavelength area of 1.0 – 1.4 µm, from the middle wavelength area (1.4 – 3.0 µm) or the long wavelength area from 3.0 to 9.0 µm. The selection is made in the form of tests in our technical center or directly at your premises. Priority has the most energy efficient solution with the best product result in combination with an intelligent controlling unit. Therewith we can reach an improvement of product quality and major cost savings for the user.

Processing of lacquers with infrared efficient and with fast reactions
Coatings require heat to build the desired paint film. Infrared heaters can bring this heat contact-free into the lacquer. Independent of the wavelength infrared heater for lacquer drying can achieve excellent qualitatively improvements. This results for instance less swelling of the fiber for timber materials. Due to the gentle energy input breast boarding, shrinkage cracks or pimples can be prevented. Lacquer films stay open.
The infrared technology has its use in numerous applications for many years. Nevertheless there is a variety of procedural questions that need to be answered. There is a significantly potential for optimization and realization.
