Fanless Alder-Lake N embedded system

Intel® remains true to its code naming and launches the next CPU generation with the name Alder Lake. The new processors of the Alder Lake N generation can be found in the newly launched embedded system MB2-10ANS from ICP Germany. As with its predecessor, the MB1, two variants with energy-efficient processors are available. Variant 1 with the N97, a four-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.6GHz and variant 2 with Intel Core i3-N305 with eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 3.8GHz.

The MB2 offers a DDR5 SO-DIMM socket, which can be equipped with a maximum of 16GB. In terms of size, the MB2 system measures just 171 x 133 x 57 mm. It offers space for a 2.5” SSD, an M.2 2280, an M.2 2242/3042/3052 and an M.2 2230 expansion card as well as a variety of interfaces, such as display port, HDMI, two 2.5GbE ports, a 10-pin terminal connector with 8bit GPIO, an RS-232/422/485 interface, remote power on/off, three USB3.2 and one USB Type-C and line-out port. In addition, variant 1 with N97 CPU has two USB2.0 and one RS-232 interface and variant 2 with i3-N305 CPU has three RS-232 interfaces. With a voltage input of 8 to 26 volts DC and an operating temperature suitability of -20 °C to 60 °C, the MB2-10ANS system underlines its industrial suitability. The MB2-10ANS is a compact embedded system that is also prepared for use as an inference system. The MB2-10ANS can be extended with a Hailo-8TM AI IC. The Hailo-8TM extension enables AI data to be technically evaluated and decisions to be made directly at the edge. On request, ICP Germany can supply the MB2 as a ready-to-use system with suitable industrial memory modules and solid state disks as well as pre-equipped with a Hailo-8TM expansion card.
