3D NAND Flash Solid State Disks (SSD), which are based on Triple Level Cell (TLC) memory cells, have so far only been used sporadically in industrial applications. With the new Titan T351 series, ICP Germany is launching a TLC SSD family on the market that is reliable, high-capacity and cost-effective.
By combining memory cells from market leader Toshiba and firmware from Cervoz with a low-density parity check ECC algorithm, the Titan series offers high quality standards and particularly high data integrity.
The T351 series includes all form factors from 2.5" through mSATA to M.2 (2242/2280) and is compatible with the SATA 6Gb/s standard interface. What stands out in comparison to the current MLC M305 SSD family is the double write and read speed of up to 510/560MB/s. In addition to the standard capacities of 64Gb to 512GB, a 1TB size is also available. Also the T351 series convinces in terms of price-performance. For price-sensitive applications, the 3D NAND Flash T351 series offers price savings of up to 40% compared to the M305 MLC series. The 3D NAND SSDs are powered with 3.3VDC input voltage and have a power consumption of max. 1720mW in active mode and max. 300mW in idle mode. An industrial version for the temperature range from 0°C to +70°C as well as a version for the extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C are available. The Titan T351 series from ICP Germany is therefore the right mass storage device for a wide range of semi-industrial applications.
