Auch das neue Modell ist 100% Software-kompatibel mit allen Frame Grabbern der FALCON-Serie; ein Modellwechsel erfordert also keine Anpassung der Applikation. Der Treiber unterstützt sowohl den Mehrkartenbetrieb als auch den Mischbetrieb von PCI- und PCI-Express-Karten. Ein EEPROM ermöglicht das Hinterlegen eigener Daten und ist u.a. auch als Dongle einsetzbar.
Zum Lieferumfang gehört ein Software-Development-Kit (SDK) für alle aktuellen Windows-Betriebssysteme einschließlich Vista sowie für Linux. Es beinhaltet zahlreiche Demo-Programme einschließlich der Sourcecodes in C/C++ sowie Demos in Visual Basic und Delphi. Entwickler können diese schnell in eigene Programme übernehmen und an spezielle Anforderungen anpassen.
Für die Anwender von Standard-Softwarelösungen werden ein nativer Direct Show (WDM) Treiber, eine ActiveX-Komponente und eine TWAIN-Schnittstelle mitgeliefert. Möglich ist auch die Einbindung von externen Videocodecs und somit die Aufnahme von Videosequenzen in unterschiedlichen Formaten (u. a. MPEG4) auf Festplatte.
