Die Zeitarbeit ist hart von der Corona-Krise getroffen worden. Knapp 25 Prozent der Befragten gab an, dass die Auswirkungen der Pandemie das Bestehen ihres Unternehmens bedroht. Das ist das Ergebnis einer Umfrage, die der Interessenverband Deutscher Zeitarbeitsunternehmen (iGZ) bei seinen Mitgliedsunternehmen durchgeführt hat. Die Personaldienstleister werden in die Corona-Zange genommen: Auf der einen Seite meldeten 83,9 Prozent der Unternehmen die vorzeitige Beendigung von Einsätzen ihrer Mitarbeiter. Auf der anderen Seite registrierten 72,6 Prozent der Unternehmen einen Auftragsrückgang. Vertrieb gewann daher deutlich an Bedeutung: Immerhin 67,1 Prozent der Unternehmen konnten neue Aufträge in den Bereichen Produktion (58,5 Prozent), Logistik (47,5 Prozent) und Dienstleistungen (35,1 Prozent) akquirieren. 20 Prozent der Unternehmen berichten über neue Einsätze im Gesundheitsbereich. Nur knapp 50 Prozent der Zeitarbeitsunternehmen musste mit Kündigungen auf die Auftragssituation reagieren. 72,8 Prozent aller Zeitarbeitsunternehmen haben in der gesamten Coronakrise Kurzarbeit angemeldet. Das sind etwas weniger als die 88,4 Prozent der Unternehmen, die im April 2020 davon ausgegangen sind, Kurzarbeit in Anspruch zu nehmen.Einer ungeahnten Beliebtheit haben sich die Leistungen nach dem Infektionsschutzgesetz erfreut. Während im April 2020 noch mit 26,2 Prozent ein Höchstwert der Unternehmen angaben, diese Leistungen gar nicht zu kennen entwickelten sie sich nach der Kurzarbeit zum „Renner“: 39,3 Prozent der Unternehmen haben sie bereits in Anspruch genommen und weitere 9,7 Prozent haben es noch vor. Auf Platz 2 folgt die Stundung der VBG-Beiträge (36,6 Prozent) und die Stundung von Steuerzahlungen (33,9 Prozent).Die Coronakrise stellte sich für 22,4 Prozent der Zeitarbeitsunternehmen als existenzgefährdend heraus. Das ist knapp ein Viertel der gesamten Branche. Diese Zahl ist alarmierend, auch wenn die Befürchtungen im April 2020 noch schlimmere waren: Damals gingen 34,6 Prozent davon aus, dass das Virus sie ihre Existenz kosten würde. Auf einer Skala von 0 (= existenzgefährdend) bis 100 (= umsatzerweiternd) ergab sich mit Blick auf die gesamte Krise ein Indexwert von 30,5. Auch dieser lag bei der Ersteinschätzung im Frühjahr des vergangenen Jahres noch schlechter bei 21,3.
