Web 2.0 – ist das wirklich eine digitale Revolution oder letztlich doch nur ein Marketing-Gag? Zwei Jahre, nachdem der von Tim O’ Reilly geprägte Begriff Web 2.0 seine weltumspannende Karriere begann, sucht das nächste Kommunikationsforum der Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg nach Antworten auf die Frage, was genau Web 2.0 für Unternehmen, Medien und Bürger und für die Kommunikationswirtschaft langfristig bedeutet. Die kostenfreie Veranstaltung findet am Dienstag, 22. Januar 2008, 18 bis 20 Uhr, im großen Sitzungssaal der IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, Bonner Talweg 17, 53113 Bonn, statt. Immer mehr Menschen sind elektronisch vernetzt, nehmen aktiv am World Wide Web teil und steuern selbst Inhalte bei. Die Veranstaltung befasst sich damit, wie sich dieses veränderte Informations- und Kommunikationsverhalten auf die Gesellschaft auswirkt. Sind die vielen Tausend öffentlichen und nicht-öffentlichen Weblogs, die es im Internet heute gibt, nur eine Spielerei für den privaten Umgang mit dem Netz? Oder können sie tatsächlich auch für Unternehmen wirtschaftlich nachhaltig wirken? Als Gesprächspartner stehen dabei Prof. Dr. Caja Thimm, geschäftsführende Direktorin des Zentrums für Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaft der Universität Bonn, Thilo Kölzer, Vorstand der Kölner Internet- und Kommunikationsagentur Antwerpes, und Gero Schmitt-Sausen, zuständig für das Thema Neue Medien bei der Deutschen Welle, zur Verfügung. Unter Moderation von Claudius Kroker, Journalist und PR-Berater, wird die Frage ergründet, ob der Euphorie rund um Web 2.0 der Rückschritt folgt oder ob es sich tatsächlich um einen größeren, evolutionären Schritt bei der Weiterentwicklung des Internets handelt.
