Die Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg reagiert mit Unverständnis auf die geplante ICE-Fahrplanänderung und die damit verbundene Schwächung des ICE-Halts Siegburg/Bonn. „Viele Ein- und Auspendler der wachsenden Region Bonn/Rhein-Sieg werden durch die Entscheidung der DB vom Fernverkehrsnetz abgekoppelt. Das ist das falsche Signal für eine Verkehrswende, wir brauchen mehr Alternativen zum Auto oder sogar Flugzeug, nicht weniger“, sagt IHK-Geschäftsführer Prof. Dr. Stephan Wimmers. Der ICE-Bahnhof hat zudem eine große Bedeutung für den internationalen Unternehmensstandort Bonn. Die Anreise über den Frankfurter Flughafen bis ins Bundesviertel wird durch die ICE-Fahrplanänderungen erschwert. Die IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg begrüßt daher die regionalpolitische Initiative, die auf den Aufsichtsrat der Deutschen Bahn einwirken möchte. „Es gibt hier einen breiten parteiübergreifenden Konsens, der mit Sicherheit auch Gehör in Berlin finden wird. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass die Fahrplanausdünnung als Fehler erkannt und schnellstmöglich korrigiert werden wird“, so Wimmers weiter.
