Gerald Fichtner wird neuer Geschäftsführer der Weiterbildungsgesellschaft der Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg gGmbH. Diese Entscheidung haben die Weiterbildungsgesellschaft (WBG) sowie deren Gesellschafter Dr. Reinold Hagen Stiftung und IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg getroffen. Der 40jährige Fichtner ist zur Zeit Abteilungsleiter Berufsbildung der IHK Heilbronn-Franken und Geschäftsführer des IHK-Zentrums für Weiterbildung GmbH in Heilbronn. Er setzte sich in einem mehrstufigen Auswahlprozess durch, bei dem eine externe Personalberatungsagentur und eine interne Findungskommission der WBG-Gesellschafter zum Einsatz kamen. Fichtner wird seine Stelle als neuer und alleiniger Geschäftsführer der WBG zum 1. Oktober 2021 antreten. Er folgt damit auf die bisherigen Geschäftsführer Otto Brandenburg und Karl-Friedrich Linder. „Wir danken Otto Brandenburg und Karl-Friedrich Linder für ihre jahrzehntelange Tätigkeit im Dienst der Weiterbildungsgesellschaft und freuen uns, mit Gerald Fichtner einen Nachfolger gefunden zu haben, der seine Erfahrungen in der Berufs- und Weiterbildung nun in Bonn einbringen kann“, sagt IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Dr. Hubertus Hille.
