Höchstdotierter Preis im deutschen Wirtschaftsjournalismus

Der Ernst-Schneider-Preis lädt mit seiner 37. Ausschreibung Autoren und Redakteure zum Wettbewerb um die besten Wirtschaftsbeiträge ein. Bis zum 25. Januar 2008 können noch Beiträge zum höchstdotierten Wettbewerb im deutschen Wirtschaftsjournalismus eingereicht werden. In den einzelnen Kategorien stehen Preise von insgesamt 60.000 Euro zur Verfügung. Gestiftet von den Industrie- und Handelskammern zeichnet der Preis in Fernsehen, Hörfunk und Presse jährlich Journalisten aus, deren Beiträge beispielhaft Hintergründe oder Zusammenhänge der Wirtschaft und der Technik vermitteln. Die Beiträge müssen aus dem Jahr 2007 stammen. Ausschreibungsunterlagen für den Ernst-Schneider-Preis, der in insgesamt zehn Kategorien vergeben wird, sind im Internet unter "www.ernst-schneider-preis.de" abrufbar. Die IHKs loben seit 1971 den Journalistenpreis der deutschen Wirtschaft aus. Der Preis ist nach dem früheren DIHK-Präsidenten, dem Unternehmer und Kunstmäzen Ernst Schneider benannt.
