Kann Bonn Großprojekte?

IHK begrüßt die Planungen zum Bonner Nordfeld

Die Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) begrüßt die Fortschritte in der Planung des Bonner Nordfelds. "Bonn kann jetzt zeigen, dass es auch wichtige Großprojekte umsetzen kann", sagt IHK-Geschäftsführer Professor Dr. Stephan Wimmers: "Die vorgelegten Entwürfe würden zu einer erheblichen Aufwertung des Bahnhofsumfelds und des städtischen Eingangstors für viele Bahnreisende beitragen." Dies könne auch ein Aufbruchssignal für die Planungen der Südüberbauung und die Sanierung des Hauptbahnhofs sein. Bei der Planung müsse der bestehende Einzelhandelsbesatz sinnvoll ergänzt werden. Wimmers: "Mit diesem Projekt muss es uns gelingen, mehr Menschen nach Bonn zu locken, die mehr Umsatz für den Bonner Einzelhandel und die Gastronomie bedeuten."
