Der Arabische Frühling wird nur blühen, wenn er eine wirtschaftliche Unterstützung erfährt. Das ist der Tenor einer Informationsveranstaltung, die die Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg heute in Kooperation mit den IHKs in Nordrhein-Westfalen, der Deutsch-Arabischen IHK, der Deutsch-Tunesischen IHK und dem Afrika-Verein der Deutschen Wirtschaft im Grand Hotel Petersberg in Königswinter ausgerichtet hat. Rund 50 Unternehmen aus NRW informierten sich unter dem Titel "Umbrüche in der Arabischen Welt: Tunesien, Libyen und Ägypten" über mittel- und langfristige Perspektiven für Geschäfte in dieser Region im Wandel. Experten für diese Länder informierten über die wirtschaftliche und politische Lage in Ägypten, Libyen und Tunesien sowie zeigten realistische Entwicklungslinien für die nordrhein-westfälische Wirtschaft auf. Erfahrungsberichte aus unternehmerischer Sicht rundeten die Veranstaltung ab. "Unternehmen, die sich in dieser Länderregion engagieren, Managementkapazitäten oder auch Kapital investieren, haben ein besonderes Interesse daran, die wirtschaftlichen Perspektiven für die Zukunft qualifiziert und möglichst konkret vor Ort einschätzen zu können", sagte Dr. Hubertus Hille, Hauptgeschäftsführer der IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg über das Ziel der Veranstaltung: "Ich habe die Hoffnung, dass die Umbrüche in diesen Ländern neben Unsicherheit, Gewalt und Destabilisierung der Regierungen auch Chancen erkennen lassen, die auch diese Länder langfristig politisch und wirtschaftlich zu mehr Wohlstand führen."
Durch den demokratischen Wandel in Nordafrika gebe es Aussicht auf mehr Rechtssicherheit und sinkende Korruption, machte Arvid Weinlich, Geschäftsführer EMENA Consulting, Wien, in seinem Einführungsvortrag deutlich. Exemplarisch werde eine Öffnung der Märkte vor allem für Agrar- und Textilprodukte angestrebt. "Deutsche Tugenden wie Disziplin, Organisationstalent und Fleiß gelten noch mehr in Zeiten der Unsicherheit. Pioniergeist und wirtschaftliches Engagenent wird auf Dauer belohnt", sagte Weinlich. Ägypten ist einer der größten Empfänger deutscher Entwicklungshilfe, von strategischem Interesse ist daneben auch Tunesien. Wirtschaftliche Schwerpunkte werden hier insbesondere in den Bereichen Umweltttechnologie, erneuerbare Energien und Bildung gelegt, wobei hier auch Förderprogramme für Unternehmen bestehen.
"Sobald die ordnungs- und wirtschaftspolitischen Rahmenbedingungen durch die neue Regierung in Ägypten festgelegt sein werden, wird die ägyptische Wirtschaft rasch wieder an die hohen Wachstumsraten der Vergangenheit anknüpfen", glaubt Dr. Rainer Herret, Geschäftsführer der Deutsch-Arabischen IHK in Kairo: "Traditionelle Zielmärkte für deutsche Lieferanten sind der Bausektor, der Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, die nahrungsmittelverarbeitende Industrie, der Gesundheitssektor und die Umwelttechnologie (Abfall- und Wasserwirtschaft). Im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien bietet sich ein Engagement vor allem bei der Windenergie an."
