Module mit besten Verschattungseigenschaften

Solarmodule produzieren Strom nur bei Bestrahlung durch die Sonne. Folglich sollte bereits bei der Planung einer Photovoltaikanlage Verschattung durch Bäume oder andere Gebäude berücksichtigt werden. Zwar funktionieren Solarmodule mittlerweile auch bei diffusen Lichtverhältnissen, jedoch wird die maximale Leistung bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung erzielt.

Kommt es dann doch zur Verschattung, machen sich Unterschiede zwischen SunPower Modulen der Performance Reihe und herkömmlichen Modulen bemerkbar:

Fällt ein Blatt auf ein Modul, so sinkt bei herkömmlichen Modulen die Leistung erheblich, während bei SunPower Modulen nur ein kleiner Teil der Leistung verloren geht. Trifft der Schatten hingegen auf ein bestimmtes Segment, so sinkt die Leistung komplett auf 0 Watt ab und kein Strom wird produziert.
