As the digital transformation proceeds, oil and gas companies are generating ever-larger volumes of data. The challenge now is to process and utilize these data repositories more efficiently – and to turn big data into smart data. To do so, solutions are needed that are capable of ensuring that data exchange and processes are almost entirely automated, and that manual intervention is necessary only in exceptional situations. This means that employees monitor business operations with the help of control cockpits while the system performs all routine postings entirely on its own.
Implico can draw on extensive knowledge of the industry and long expertise in the rollout of the SAP SDM and SAP RFNO downstream solutions, which are also soon to be available as SAP S/4HANA versions. SAP SDM (Secondary Distribution Management) controls and optimizes the entire order-to-cash process, while SAP RFNO (Retail Fuel Network Operations) manages and automates the handling of the processes and data that are generated when operating a service station network. The solutions help to reduce manual effort and thereby significantly reduce associated costs.
“We look forward to some lively discussions with industry companies, with representatives from SAP, and with other consulting companies in Lisbon,” says Torsten Peter, Implico’s Managing Partner with responsibility for SAP business. “From the conversations we’ve held in the past, we know that many downstream companies want to make the most of the digital transformation. The International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas offers prospective customers the perfect platform to find out about suitable solutions and industry innovations, to learn from best practice and meet the right IT partners.”
Workshop, presentations and a live demo
Implico is also contributing to the official conference program: Implico Managing Consultant Nicolas Woldt will be supporting Jean-Marc Delbos, Senior Director, Oil & Gas Industry Business Unit, SAP, in his workshop on the topic of “Hydrocarbon Secondary Distribution Sales and Logistics – Today’s Solutions and Perspectives for Downstream Processes.”
Two of Implico’s customers will also be reporting on their SAP projects in 30-minute sessions. Marcus Falcão, CIO of Supergasbras, Brazil’s third-largest LPG retailer, will offer a presentation on “Downstream – Boost the Efficiency of your Secondary Distribution with SAP Solutions”, while Reinaldo Melero, CIO of Copagaz, Brazil’s fifth-largest LPG retailer, will be talking about the “Digital Transformation of Copagaz with SAP Secondary Distribution Management.”
Cornelia Juds, Senior SAP Sales Manager at Implico, will show how integrated SAP downstream solutions can significantly reduce effort to cut costs and increase efficiency. Thanks to this automation, employees can turn their full attention to handling customer services and unusual incidents. Cornelia Juds will be presenting the entire order-to-cash process in a ten-minute live demo.
