The course, due to be released in the coming month, will prepare participants in the detecting, prevention and responding of cyberattacks through a series of interactive, educational modules. The course introduces participants to the safe handling of emails and encryption methods, password security and phishing detection, recognising cyberhacker’s methods, and if the worse should happen, the correct procedures for handling a security incident. These, along with other topics, will lay solid educational foundations for information and data awareness. Participants receive continuous assessment ready for the end of course evaluation.
The release of the course to globally comes after initial success in the company’s domestic market, ensuring more companies than ever are aware of current information security risks.
"We are proud to build on our initial successes here in Germany and look forward to welcoming more companies to use our unique awareness platform", said Increase Your Skills CEO, Carolin Andree. "This new course offers companies an invaluable tool to protect their company by investing in their employees’ knowledge".
Once the course is released, participants will be able to complete the five key course elements independent of time and location, providing a quick transfer of knowledge whilst not deviating attention away from their day-to-day work. With 70% of cyberattacks targeting humans directly, the state of employee security awareness is an issue that should concern companies across all sectors.
"Cyberattacks are not going away, on the contrary, they are working smarter and targeting more specifically," Andree said. "With the surprising shift in landscape towards more remote working, now more than ever, companies should be investing in their employee’s knowledge base to be able to keep company data safe. Cybercriminals do not discriminate; it is not a matter of whether you attacked, but when."
Additionally, the course includes a reporting dashboard to provide an overview of the key metrics of employee success; with participants receiving a certificate upon completion.
