Diesjähriger Aufruf für LIFE-Projektvorschläge gestartet

Mithilfe des europäischen Umweltförderungsinstruments LIFE+ werden bereits seit 1992 Projekte finanziert, die einen Beitrag zur Entwicklung und Durchführung der Umweltpolitik und des Umweltrechts der EU leisten. Für den Zeitraum von 2007 bis 2013 stellt die EU-Kommission ein Gesamtvolumen von 2,14 Milliarden EUR zur Verfügung. Die Projekte werden prinzipiell mit maximal 50 Prozent gefördert, wobei die Bereiche der Natur und Biodiversität eine Höchstförderung von bis zu 75 Prozent erhalten. Die Vergabe der Finanzmittel erfolgt aufgrund jährlicher Ausschreibungen. Der Aufruf zur Einreichung von Projektvorschlägen für LIFE+ 2012 wurde im März 2012 veröffentlicht Interessenten können ihre Projektvorschläge in den drei Bereichen "Natur und biologische Vielfalt", "Umweltpolitik und Verwaltungspraxis" sowie "Information und Kommunikation" bis zum 26. September 2012 elektronisch über das "eProposal"-Webportal einreichen, um EU-Fördermittel zu erhalten. Die nationalen Behörden sammeln die Projektanträge und schicken sie bis zum 2. Oktober nach Brüssel. Frühestmöglicher Projektstart ist der 01. Juli 2013.
