"Die IHK Saarland begrüßt, dass das Bundesverfassungsgericht die Verschonung von Betriebsvermögen zur Sicherung von Arbeitskräften im Grundsatz bestätigt hat. Denn das ist für unsere zahlreichen inhabergeführten kleineren und mittleren Unternehmen existentiell. Bei der jetzt erforderlichen Umsetzung des Urteils ist der Gesetzgeber gefordert, möglichst schnell Rechtsicherheit für die Unternehmen zu schaffen. Sonst drohen negative Auswirkungen auf Investitionen und Arbeitsplätze" - so kommentiert IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Volker Giersch das Urteil des Bundesverfassungsgericht vom heutigen Tag. Für das Saarland geht die IHK mit Bezug auf Berechnungen des Bonner Instituts für Mittelstandsforschung davon aus, dass in den nächsten fünf Jahren etwa 1.600 Unternehmen zur Übergabe anstehen. "Für diese Unternehmen brauchen wir bürokratiearme und mittelstandsfreundliche Regelungen im Erbschaftsfall", so Giersch. Der IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer warnt generell davor, durch eine zu hohe Steuerbelastung bei der Nachfolge die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Betriebe zu beeinträchtigen. "Der Staat muss unseren Familienunternehmen Luft zum Atmen zu lassen. Denn sie sind - gerade auch im Saarland - wichtige Treiber für Wachstum, Beschäftigung und Innovation", so Giersch.
