IHK begrüßt Verlängerung der Kurzarbeiter-Regelung

"Es ist richtig und wichtig, dass die Bundesregierung die Sonderregelung beim Kurzarbeitergeld über das Jahresende hinaus verlängert hat", so IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Volker Giersch zum heutigen Beschluss der Bundesregierung. "Die Kurzarbeit hat sich", so Giersch weiter, "im laufenden Jahr als wirksamer Puffer gegen Entlassungen bewährt. Sie wird vielen Unternehmen auch im kommenden Jahr helfen, eine Beschäftigungsbrücke über das Konjunkturtal zu bauen. Die verlängerte Kurzarbeiter-Regelung wird gerade auch im Saarland dazu beitragen, den Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit zu dämpfen und die Konjunktur zu stabilisieren. Denn in der Saarwirtschaft ist die Kurzarbeit überdurchschnittlich hoch."
