IHK: Landeshochschulentwicklungsplan zügig umsetzen!

"Die Landesregierung hat die Weichen für ein zukunftsfähiges saarländisches Hochschulsystem richtig gestellt. Wir brauchen eine Hochschullandschaft mit klaren Leistungsschwerpunkten und besonderen Profilmerkmalen, die überregionale Strahlkraft entwickelt und ineffiziente Doppelstrukturen durch gezielte Kooperationen vermeidet. Die im Landesentwicklungsplan vorgesehenen Eckpunkte "Konzentration", "Kooperation" und "Konsolidierung" decken sich mit den Anregungen unserer IHK. Richtig ist aus unserer Sicht vor allem die gezielte Neuausrichtung der Ingenieurwissenschaften unter stärkerer Berücksichtigung des Anforderungsprofils der Saarwirtschaft. Jetzt kommt es darauf an, dass der neue Studiengang Systems Engineering angemessen ausgestattet wird, damit er sich im Wettbewerb mit anderen Hochschulstandorten durchsetzen kann", so der stellvertretende IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Heino Klingen zum heute (10. März 2015) veröffentlichten Landeshochschulentwicklungsplan.
