Der heutige konstruktive Dialog im Rahmen des „Runden Tisches Handel“ war aus Sicht der IHK ein wichtiger Schritt, um für gegenseitiges Verständnis innerhalb der Branche zu werben und um Klarheit für alle Beteiligten zu schaffen. „Wir begrüßen ausdrücklich das Bekenntnis zur Aufrechterhaltung des sogenannten Schwerpunktprinzips: So dürfen Artikel aus dem Non-Food-Bereich auch weiterhin verkauft werden, sofern der Umsatz der erlaubten Sortimente, wie etwa Lebensmittel, deutlich überwiegt. Ein starkes Signal der Branche ist die angekündigte Selbstverpflichtung der SB-Warenhäuser, Lebensmittel-Discounter und Lebensmittel-Vollsortimenter, ihre Werbeaktionen für den Bereich Non-Food temporär erheblich zu reduzieren. Dies ist ein wegweisender Beitrag im Sinne des Fair Plays. Zukunftsweisend sehen wir auch die Ankündigung des Wirtschaftsministeriums, das Programm „DigitalStarter Saarland“ auf bis zu drei Millionen Euro aufzustocken. Dadurch erhalten gerade kleine und mittelständische Betriebe die Chance, notwendige Investitionen in digitale Vertriebsprozesse tätigen zu können und sich auch künftig erfolgreich am Markt zu behaupten. Das heutige Format hat gezeigt, wie wichtig es gerade in Zeiten der Krise ist, gemeinsam mit allen Akteuren der Branche konstruktive Lösungen zu erarbeiten. Wir würden es daher begrüßen, dieses Format in regelmäßigen Abständen zu wiederholen.“ So kommentierte IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Dr. Frank Thomé den Verlauf und die Ergebnisse des heutigen Runden Tisches Handel.
