Saar-Arbeitsmarkt 2024 schwächer als in den Vorjahren

„Bereits im Herbst war absehbar, dass sich der saarländische Arbeitsmarkt angesichts schwacher Konjunktur und massiver struktureller Anpassungen in der Industrie schwächer entwickeln wird als in den Vorjahren. Insofern kommen die aktuellen Zahlen nicht überraschend. Da zahlreiche Unternehmen bereits angekündigt haben, weiteres Personal abzubauen, wird sich dieser Trend in den kommenden zwölf Monaten sogar noch verstärken. Wir erwarten daher für 2025 einen weiteren Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit sowie einen spürbaren Rückgang der Beschäftigung um bis zu 5.000 Stellen auf dann rund 387.000 Arbeitsplätze im Jahresdurchschnitt. Für eine Trendwende am Arbeitsmarkt muss die Politik nun rasch Vertrauen stiften. Notwendig ist ein klares Signal in Form einer wirtschaftspolitischen Wende nach der Bundestagswahl, mit der sich arbeitsplatzschaffende Investitionen am Standort Deutschland wieder rentieren würden.“ So kommentierte IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Dr. Frank Thomé die heute (3. Januar) von der Regionaldirektion der Bundesagentur für Arbeit vorgelegten Arbeitsmarktzahlen.
