"Die anhaltende Konjunkturerholung wird auch in den kommenden Frühjahrs- und Sommermonaten für deutlich sinkende Arbeitslosenzahlen sorgen. Wir erwarten im weiteren Jahresverlauf einen Rückgang der Arbeitslosenquote von derzeit 7 auf bis zu 6 Prozent. Parallel hierzu steigt die Beschäftigung. Vor allem in der Industrie hat sich wegen der guten Auftragslage die Einstellungsbereitschaft erhöht." Mit diesen Worten kommentiert IHK-Sprecher Dr. Mathias Hafner die heute (28. April 2011) vorgelegten Zahlen der Regionaldirektion Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland der Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
