Trotz Mehrfachkrise und Strukturwandel: Saar-Arbeitsmarkt im Jahr 2022 insgesamt robust

„2022 war insgesamt gesehen ein relativ gutes Jahr für den Saar-Arbeitsmarkt. Obwohl die Saarwirtschaft durch eine Mehrfachkrise, Kostenschübe und einen hohen Transformationsdruck belastet war, zeigte sich der Arbeitsmarkt weiter aufnahmebereit. So konnte die Arbeitslosigkeit im Jahresdurchschnitt gegenüber dem Vorjahr um über 3.000 Personen abgebaut werden. Erfreulich ist zudem, dass die Beschäftigung fast wieder auf dem Vor-Corona-Niveau des Jahres 2019 lag. Für 2023 sind wir daher optimistisch: Die hohe Nachfrage nach Arbeitskräften im Gesundheitswesen, in der öffentlichen Verwaltung, in Teilen des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes und bei unternehmensnahen Dienstleistern wird für einen weiteren Beschäftigungsaufbau von bis zu 1.000 Personen im Jahresmittel sorgen. Damit stehen die Chancen gut, dass 2023 zu einem Rekordjahr für den Saar-Arbeitsmarkt werden kann. Um dies abzusichern, bleibt die Politik gefordert, die Wachstumskräfte zu stärken.“ So kommentierte IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Dr. Frank Thomé die heute (3. Januar) von der Regionaldirektion der Bundesagentur für Arbeit vorgelegten Arbeitsmarktzahlen.
